Audi A3 Car Insurance

Audi A3 is a compact luxury sedan launched in India in September 2014 by the Audi India subdivision of the Volkswagen Group. It has been one of the most successful cars in this segment due to its technology, design, and driving mechanisms. In the Indian market, it was positioned as an entry-level Audi, based on Volkswagen's new flexible modular MQB platform. It was a healthy option for the D-segment buyers, who found the Audi A3 to be competing with Toyota Camry, Skoda Superb, and the Mercedes CLA. Audi has been one of the top premium car manufacturers in India, and the Audi A3 proves that with each new launch, it just extends its standards of excellence.

Due to the stringent BS6 emission norms that came into effect in India on 1st April 2020, Audi had to discontinue its A3 sedan along with A5 and Q3 BS4 models. However, new Audi A3, a revised and improved brand is expected to launch in April 2021.

Features of Audi A3

The Audi A3 comes in petrol and diesel variants. It is available in two engine options, the 2-litre four-cylinder TDI engine (35 TDI) which produces a maximum power of 143hp, max torque of 320 Nm @1750-3000rpm with an ARAI mileage of 20.38 kmpl. The second engine option was the 1.4-litre TFSI engine (35 TFSI), which produces a maximum power of 150hp, max torque of 250 Nm @1500-3500rpm with an ARAI mileage of 19.8 kmpl. The engines of both the variants have direct injection and turbocharging S tronic ® dual-clutch transmission system that provides uninterrupted power and fuel efficiency.

The Audi A3 has been branded as the baby sibling of the Audi A4 and A6 and is also the first car to adopt the new badging by the company. It offers an optional S-line body that adds beauty to the vehicle and its LED DRLs and bi-xenon headlamps give a classy look to the car. The luxury doesn't stop here, as the inside cabin has got a touch of it too. The steering wheel is wrapped with leather to give the soft yet sturdy feel and the central console is equipped with a seven inch MMI screen that is capable of storing music worth 20 GB operated by buttons and handwriting recognition.

The interiors have been designed with fine quality material to give ample room space to the passengers. The sun-position sensor, 2-zone Air Conditioning system, TT inspired Jet turbine design air vents, and three-dimensional inlays add to the luxury of the car. Regarding safety, the Audi A3 is equipped with seven airbags, collision assist, which uses camera assistance to indicate potential collision, and a pedestrian-safe active bonnet to reduce the risk of injury to the pedestrian on getting hit.
