Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. Do I have to pay the deductible amount first in order to make a claim under Voluntary Deductible?

No, it is a misconception that you have to pay the amount before filing the claim for the rest of the amount. In fact, it first needs to get approved by the insurance company. You can then pay your share of the amount that was agreed upon by both the parties at the time of purchasing the add-on.

2. Can I claim insurance for my stolen Datsun Go+ tyres under the Tyre Protection cover?

No, your Tyre Protection cover add-on does not include theft of your car’s tyres.

3. The suspension of my Datsun Go is damaged and may need replacement. Can I make a claim on the cost of replacement?

No, you cannot make a claim on the cost of its replacement even if you have Tyre Protection cover add-on as it is a part that does not fall under the category of a car’s tyre in the first place.

4. I was out of the station when my Datsun Go+ got stuck in the waterlogged area for more than a week. Can I claim the insurance on the damage caused to its engine?

No, any kind of delay is not acceptable for a claim, considering it is the negligence that led to the damage of your car’s engine and not the natural calamity itself. This will not be covered even under Engine Protection cover add-on.
