Hero MotoCorp has introduced the new Hero Glamour and the bike is already available at Hero dealerships. It is available at Rs 57,755 (ex-showroom Delhi) for the base drum brake variant. The disc brake variant of the Hero Glamour is priced at Rs 59,755 (ex-showroom Delhi). Hero has also introduced a fuel-injected version of the Glamour, priced at Rs 66,580 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The new Hero Glamour has come out with a disc brake variant.The new Hero Glamour now meets Bharat Stage IV (BS-IV) emission regulations and also gets an all-new 125 cc engine with a four-speed gearbox. The single-cylinder, the four-stroke engine also gets Hero's patented start-stop technology, called i3S and makes 27 percent more power than the outgoing model at 11.4 bhp. Peak torque is also up at 11 Nm. The engine looks different too, with the head tilting slightly upwards at an angle, compared to the horizontal engine head on the earlier model. The carburetted version gets a modern CV carburettor and the more expensive fuel-injected version gets the latest electronic fuel injection technology.
The Hero Glamour’s styling tweaks include a large headlight cowl which includes a front cover for the instrument console, multicoloured body graphics, body coloured rear-view mirrors and a two-tone front mudguard. Like the smaller bikes, the instrument console is very basic in nature and contains an analogue speedometer, fuel gauge and a single trip meter.
Hero Glamour is offered in five colour combinations with black being the base shade of blue, red, brown, yellow. There is also a full red and full brown colour scheme. The 2017 Hero Glamour has been developed indigenously by Hero MotoCorp at its Centre for Innovation and Technology in Jaipur.The 2017 Hero Glamour Fi (fuel injection) is priced at Rs 65,650 for the CBS variant.
The Hero Glamour has finally received the cosmetic and mechanical updates that it always deserved. For a slight premium over the existing model, the new Glamour makes for a great motorcycle to have on your shortlist for a sensible and reasonable commuter.
The Glamour is powered by a 125cc unit that produces 8bhp and 10Nm of torque.It is offered in two variants-drum brakes and disc brake of the latter has been priced Rs 3,000 more. The engine sends power via a chain drive and a four-speed sequential gearbox. The bike gets a completely revised styling which makes the new Glamour more appealing than its predecessor. It looks sleeker and sportier and the design highlight has to be the sharper-looking headlamp unit.
Hero designers have also used the chequered graphics cleverly to make the 125cc bike visually appealing. The bike also sports a new semi-digital instrument console and the tail lamp is a LED unit.
Glamour with 125 cc is simply a great bike to opt for. The multicoloured body graphics along with the speedometer is an awesome option to consider. The Glamour offered 58.3kmpl in the city and 61.32kmpl on the highway.

The Glamour i3s is the first motorcycle to be developed from scratch by Hero MotoCorp after the Honda split. It retains all the features and specs from its previous avatar. It gets the same muscular styling with funky decals. The instrument cluster on the motorcycle too is still part digital and part analogue. It also continues to get 'i3s' technology, which is Hero's patented start/stop tech to maximise fuel economy
