When you claim insurance for total damage, you can get a payout equal to the idv or Insured Declared Value of the car. Your car has been insured for this amount and you will get this amount as a payout. If you want a payout equal to your buying price, then you need to buy the invoice price add-on cover with your policy.

Yes, you can get discounts on your Zest insurance's premium. If you opt for a voluntary deductible that you would pay in case of an accident, you can get a discount. You can also get a discount if you have installed anti-theft devices approved by ARAI. If you do not make a claim on the policy, you can get a discount known as no claim bonus.

3. My car was parked in front of the office and when I came out, I found that some vandals had damaged the car. Can I make a claim to cover the costs of damage?

Yes, you can claim damages for acts of vandalism as it is a man-made hazard which is covered by your insurance. You may need to file a complaint with the police and submit an FIR to get your claim approved.

4. My laptop was stolen from my Zest when it was parked? Can the claim be covered under insurance?

Loss of laptop comes under the loss of personal belongings. This is not covered under your insurance policy. If you had taken a personal belongings add-on cover for your insurance policy, then you would be eligible to claim for loss of any personal belongings due to theft or forced entry.
