When it comes to filing claim under motor insurance there are two formats of the same- Cashless & Reimbursement.
After registering the claim, you will receive a claim registration number that can be used for future communications.
Now you can take that damaged vehicle to any authorized network garage of the insurance company for repairs.
You have to submit all documents at the representative of the insurance company or surveyor.
Then the car insurance company will confirm its liability.
NOTE: In the case of a cashless claim, the damaged vehicle is repaired at an authorized garage only. And, the insurance company will settle all the bills of the garage directly.
In the case of reimbursement claims, the initial steps are the same as a cashless process. You have to inform insurer as soon as possible by calling on a toll-free number or through its website or by email.
After registering the claim, you will receive a claim registration number that you can use easily for further communication/reference.
Take the vehicle to the garage for all repairs.
Submit all the documents along with the repair bills as well.
The insurance company will confirm it a liability and then reimburse the amount accordingly.
