Health is wealth so Max Bupa has a plan to keep you healthy. The Max Bupa GoActive plan provides you a comprehensive health insurance cover. The plan has been structured in such a way that you can choose one according to your family requirements. It has two variants:

1. GoActive: Individual Plan

2. GoActive: Family floater Plan

The same eligibility applies to both individual and family floater plans under the GoActive plan. A maximum of 2 adults and 4 children can be added in a GoActive family floater Plan. For GoActive Individual, as the name suggests, only one person can be included in the policy.

  • In-Patient Hospitalization

    All the medical treatment expenses are covered under in-patient hospitalization when any insured under an individual plan or family floater plan is hospitalized.

  • Hospital Accommodation

    Max Bupa GoActive covers all types of room except suite or above room category. In case the sum insured is 5 lakhs and above there is no capping on room rent charges under the GoActive plan.

  • Pre And Post Hospitalization Medical Expenses

    There is reimbursement facility in case of pre-hospitalization and post-hospitalization subjected to the condition that in case of pre-hospitalization treatment should be within 90 days before hospitalization and in case of post-hospitalization treatment should be within 180 days after discharge from hospital.

  • Day Care Treatment Cover

    Daycare treatment is provided to the insured under the GoActive Plan both in individual and family floater plans.

  • Home Health care Service

    Home care services include services like nursing care, investigations, medications, chemotherapy, dialysis, transfusions, physiotherapy, and post-surgical care.

    The home health care services come into action only if the health insurance company has accepted in-patient hospitalization. Home health care service comes into action after you get discharged from the hospital after in-patient hospitalization and you need assistance. Moreover, the facility is provided only in selective cities.

  • Domiciliary Hospitalization

    In the worst case scenario, if there is no availability of a bed in the hospital or the patient is not in a condition to travel to the hospital then on the recommendation of any doctor or practitioner the domiciliary facility can be availed at home.
    Domiciliary treatment should continue for at least 3 consecutive days. Proper paperwork and documents are to be submitted to the health insurance company mentioning the reason for domiciliary hospitalization under practitioners’ verbal consent.

  • Organ Transplant

    All the medical expenses incurred in organ transplantation gets coverage under Max Bupa GoActive Plan.

  • Emergency Ambulance

    The expenses of the ambulance are covered in case of an emergency to the nearest hospital.
    An expense up to Rs. 3000 per hospitalization is provided subjected to the condition that the insured is undertaken in-patient hospitalization.

  • Health Checkups/Diagnostic Tests

    All the members insured under an individual and family floater GoActive plan can avail health check-ups and diagnostic tests facility. The plan has a list of tests that can be availed by the insured subject to the condition that the insured sum amount is Rs.5 Lakhs or less than that.
    Instead of going through test pre-defined in the plan you can avail the test you require and based on your insured sum amount you can either get the reimbursement or cashless checkup.

  • Refill Benefit

    At times it happens that the insured sum gets exhausted, so in this case, the base sum amount can be restored under I-protect for a subsequent claim in a year, provided that it is for an unrelated illness.

  • Second Medical Opinion

    All the insured members under the Max Bupa GoActive Plan whether for an individual plan or a family floater plan can take a second opinion for a planned surgery/specific illness or surgical procedure.

  • OPD Consultation

    The OPD consultation charges can either be reimbursed or can be cashless based on the insured sum of the policyholder.

  • Behavioral Assistance Program

    There is a behavioral assistance program under which the insured can get counseling from the psychotherapist/counselor over call to guide premarital counseling, nutrition, stress, etc.

  • Pharmacy And Diagnostic Services

    The cost of pharmacy/medicines is to be borne by the insured.

  • Discount Advantage

    A discount of 10% on the first policy year base premium and thereafter on all subsequent base premiums subjected to the condition that the age of the eldest insured person in the plan is less than or equal to 35 years.

  • I-Protect (Optional)

    There is an increase of 10% of the base sum at the time of every renewal. The insured gets the benefit every policy year till the time he requests for exiting the benefit.

  • Health Coach (Optional)

    The insured can take the service of the health coach to take health tips and to keep themselves healthy. Based on health care, a premium discount ranging up to 20% may be applied for the same when the policy is being renewed.

  • Personal Accidental Cover (Optional)

    The plan provides coverage in case of accidental death, permanent total and partial disability.

  • Annual Aggregate Deductibles (Optional)

    There are several deductible options under the plan like Rs.25,000, Rs.50,000, Rs.1 Lacs, Rs.2 Lacs, Rs.3 Lacs, Rs. 5 Lacs and Rs.10 Lacs.

  • Zonal Coverage

    There are two zones and an insured can choose any one of them. Zone 1 is for all India coverage and zone 2 also provides the insured with all India coverage but with a copayment of 20% applicable for in-patient treatment in the cities like Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Kolkata, and Gujarat. The copayments according to the zone do not apply to an emergency ambulance, behavioral assistance program, OPD consultation, health checkup/Diagnostic tests, personal accident cover and second medical opinion.

  • Tax Benefit

    The insured gets tax benefit under section 80D of the Income Tax Act. 1961 on buying Max Bupa GoActive Plan.

  • Cashless Facility

    All the network hospitals of Max Bupa and their service providers provide with cashless facility.

  • Policy Renewal

    The Max Bupa GoActive Plan comes with lifelong renewability. The only thing to be taken care of is the timely payment of the premium.

  • Direct ClaimSettlement

    All the claims of Max Bupa GoActive Plan are handled by the customer service team and the insured can relax and take the benefits of the plan.

  • Free Look Period

    The plan has a procedure under which it provides a free look period of 15 days and the policy buyer can cancel the plan mentioning the reason for the same.

  • Pre-Existing Disease Waiting Period:
    There is a waiting period of 36 months for the treatment of pre-existing illness under the Max Bupa GoActive Plan.
  • Initial Waiting Period:
    There is an initial waiting period of 30 days applicable under Max Bupa GoActive Plan for any treatment except for an accident case.
  • Specific Waiting Period:
    There is mentioned a specific waiting period of 24 months for a list of illnesses mentioned under Max Bupa GoActive Plan.

Max Bupa GoActive Plan Review
