The Surrogacy (Regulation) Act, 2021 by the government of India has come into effect saying that, if any couple is in search of a surrogate mother, they need to buy a three-year health insurance policy for her.
This regulation was passed to prohibit commercial surrogacy and exploitation of surrogate mothers and children born through surrogacy. Keeping this in mind, Royal Sundaram Health Insurance Company has launched the tailor-made Surrosafe health plan for surrogate mothers and oocyte donors (a woman who donates her egg's to another couple/woman who needs assistance with fertility or assisted reproduction, like IVF).
We've listed the benefits, inclusions and exclusions of the Surrosafe health insurance on this page, read further to know more about this plan.
