- Category A: Families holding Yellow, Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY), Annapurna, or Orange (annual income up to ₹1 lakh) ration cards issued by Maharashtra's Civil Supplies Department across all 36 districts.
- Category B: Farmers with White ration cards residing in 14 agricultural distress-prone districts of Maharashtra (Aurangabad, Jalna, Beed, Parbhani, Hingoli, Latur, Nanded, Osmanabad, Amravati, Akola, Buldhana, Washim, Yavatmal, and Wardha).
- Category C:
- Children from government orphanages, students from government ashram shalas, inmates of gender ashrams, and elderly individuals from government nursing institutions.
- Journalists and their dependent family members approved by DGIPR.
- Construction workers and their families with live registration under the Maharashtra Building & Other Construction Worker Welfare Board.
How to Enroll and Claim Cashless Treatment
The following actions must be taken in order to sign up for the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana:
- Meet an Aarogyamitra at a nearby general, district, women's, or network hospital to initiate the application.
- Present your ration card (Yellow, Orange, or Annapurna Card) for identification.
- Upon identification, beneficiaries receive a Health Card with unique identification details. Present this card or a health referral card at the empaneled hospital for recommended treatment.
- After verification, hospitalization proceeds. MJPJAY reviews the e-authorization request sent by the insurance company.
- Cashless treatment begins once the e-authorization request is approved.
- The hospital submits original bills and documents to the insurer for claim settlement. Payment is released to the hospital upon document review and claim approval.
- Beneficiaries can avail diagnostic services and free consultations at the network hospital for up to 10 days post-discharge.
