Reliance Health Insurance Claim Status

Reliance General Insurance and Reliance Health Insurance Company were established in 2000 and have since been providing various services in the insurance sector. Their comprehensive insurance plans range from individual health insurance plans to family plans.

Reliance Health Insurance Company is one of the leading names in India’s insurance sector. Its health insurance boasts a 98% claim settlement ratio, more than 8,600 cashless hospitals, and provides coverage up to ₹1 crore.

Reliance Health Insurance Claim Process

Reliance Health Insurance provides a simple claim process to assist policyholders during medical emergencies. It has divided the process into two forms: cashless and reimbursement. Let's discuss both types of claims in detail.

Cashless Claims

Under this form of claim settlement, the insured can receive treatment at any network hospital. After submitting the required documents and a claim form to Reliance Health Insurance Company or the TPA at the network hospital, the customer does not have to worry about making payments. Reliance Health Insurance Company or the TPA will directly handle the bills associated with the treatment.

To ensure a fast and smooth claim process, Reliance Health Insurance serves customers through its in-house health claims unit. Reliance Health Insurance has also appointed a Third Party Administrator (TPA) desk, duly licensed by IRDA, for this purpose.

Cashless Claim Facility Process for Emergency Hospitalization

  1. After hospital admission, obtain the pre-authorization form from the hospital. Get it filled and signed by the attending doctor and hospital authority, then fax/email it to Reliance Health Insurance/TPA along with necessary medical details.
  2. Reliance Health Insurance Company will verify and approve the bills. Leave the original discharge summary and other investigation reports with the hospital, and retain a photocopy for your records.

Please note that at the time of discharge, you will be required to pay for expenses not covered as per the terms and conditions of the policy.

Cashless Claim Facility Process for Planned Hospitalization

  1. Send all details about the planned hospitalization to Reliance Health Insurance Company two days before your admission (including the treatment plan, cost estimates, etc.).
  2. Show the authorization letter and photo ID card to the hospital at the time of admission. The hospital authority will then fax/email the pre-authorization form to Reliance Health Insurance Company/TPA along with necessary medical details.
  3. Reliance Health Insurance will verify all details. Leave the original discharge summary and other investigation reports with the hospital, and retain a photocopy for your records.

Reimbursement Claims

  3. Lodge your claim with Reliance Health Insurance Company/TPA for further processing and reimbursement by filling out the claim form and attaching the required documents as mentioned therein.
