Steps To Check Star Health Insurance Policy Status

Check using the customer portal

You can use the customer portal to check the policy status online. The following steps will guide you:

1 Step 1:

On the official website of Star Health Insurance, login to the customer portal by clicking on 'Login' that appears at the top right corner of the screen, and click 'Retail Customer' from the drop-down.

2 Step 2:

If you are a new customer, you will need to register yourself by clicking on 'Register Now' and enter all your personal details. Post this; you will be able to generate a password that you can use to access the portal.

Once your password is generated, you can log in to the portal using your email and password. You will be able to access a dashboard where you can view all your personal details and policies you have purchased from Star Health.

3 Step 3:

Click on the policy number and you will be able to check all the details of the policy such as policy enrolment date, the policy period, and policy status.

Check via online ticket

Star Health Insurance also has a dedicated ticket platform that helps you raise any type of query without having to discuss your problem with the customer service representative in detail. You can select the specific query that you have and submit it online. If you have purchased a policy, but it has not yet generated, you can go to this link, and follow the steps given below:

  • In the Ticket Information field, enter your name in the 'Contact Name' field. This name should be the name you have entered while purchasing the policy.
  • Next, on the Sub Category, select 'Policy not generated' from the drop-down list. In the next cause field, select the mode by which you had purchased the policy, and in the Sub-cause, mention whether it is a Fresh policy or a Renewal.
  • In the Dispatch field, select if the policy was sent to you in the hard copy or the soft copy format.
  • Next, in the CPU field, enter the area in which you reside, so that assessing your query will be easy. After that enter all the other personal details requested on the screen and click on 'Submit'.

Offline Process For Checking Policy Status of Star Health Insurance

  1. Check via Phone Call

    For those customers who cannot access their policies digitally, they can call the company on its toll-free number 1800 425 2255 /1800 102 4477, and inquire about the details of their insurance policies. The number is serviced 24x7, so all advisors are ready to provide any detail on request. If you wish to call and check about your policy, have your policy number ready with you, which will help the representative to help you quickly.

    The policy status of Star Health Insurance can also be checked by visiting your nearest branch office. Have your policy document ready and share your policy number with the branch representative and he/she will share the status with you in a few minutes.

Checking Your Claim Status

If you have recently submitted a claim for your Outpatient Care policy or other policies, you can check its status on this check claim status link. On the web page, enter your Intimation number and your ID Card number, and click on 'Get Claim Status'.

If you are unable to check it online, you can call the Claims helpdesk on any of the numbers given number.

On the link, click on “Claims Helpdesk” and it will give you a list of contact numbers of all the corporate and zonal offices, and you can reach the helpdesk based on your place of residence.

As we mentioned in the policy status section, you can also visit the nearest branch and check the claim status with the customer representative present there. Share the intimation number of your ID card number and the status will be shared with you in a few minutes.

It is not necessary, however, if you feel to stay updated regarding your policy details, you can check that by using the customer portal of Star Health Insurance.

2. Can I download my Star Health Insurance policy online?

Yes, you can check your policy online by visiting the insurer's site. Follow the below given steps to download your policy.

  • Visit the official website of the company, and go to the "Retail Customer" page.
  • Enter your registered email address and password.
  • Enter the registered mobile number, and then enter the One Time Password 'OTP'.
  • Once done, the page with your policy details will open, and you can download your policy's soft copy online.

3. Which documents are required in Star Health Claim Notification Form?

You need the following documents at the time of claim notification.

  • Hospital name
  • Star Health policy number.
  • Name of the policyholder.
  • Contact details or email ID, phone number and address.
  • Nature of illness for health claims.
  • Date, time, location and nature of accident (in case of an accident).

4. Do I need to pay anything to check my Star Health Policy status online?

No, you do not have to pay anything. All you have to do is log in with your credentials and check you policy and claim status.
