An insurance claim is a request by the policyholder to have the insurance provider compensate them for their loss. Bajaj Allianz Health Insurance provides a simple claim process to assist the policyholder during medical emergencies. It has divided the process into two forms: Cashless and Reimbursement. Let's discuss both types of claims in detail.

Cashless

Under this form of claim settlement, the insured has the freedom to take the needful treatment at any network hospital. The best thing about this plan is that after submitting the required documents along with a claim form to the health insurance company or TPA present at the network hospital, the insured doesn't have to worry about making payments. Bajaj Allianz Insurance Company or TPA will directly deal with the bills associated with the treatment.

Reimbursement

Here you need to pay all the treatment bills to the hospital. Later, you can file for reimbursement under Bajaj Allianz Insurance Company. To do that, the insured must collect all bills, and prescriptions related to the treatment and submit the same along with the claim form to the Bajaj Allianz Insurance Company or TPA. The insurer will analyze your claim and might ask for additional documents (if required). If it gets approved, the company will transfer the amount directly into your account and in case of rejection, you will receive the reason for the same.

Step 1: Go to the home page of Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Company.

Step 2 Scroll down and click the 'Policy Tracker' option.

Step 3 On clicking this takes you to a new ‘Policy Tracker’ page. Here one has to select the insurance type as ‘Health Insurance’ or any other product from the drop-down menu.

Step 4 On selecting this option it opens some new text boxes wherein one has to provide:

  • Security number or first name
  • Policy number
  • Date of Birth

Step 5 After providing all these details, click ‘Search’ when done with the security check.

Step 6 The details of the policy will be shown on this page under the 'Search Result' section

From Customer Support Page:

Step 1 Go to the Bajaj Allianz Health Insurance home page. From the menu bar click ‘Support’.

Step 2 On clicking this takes you to the customer support page from where click the 'Policy Issuance Tracker' option.

Step 3 This takes to the 'Policy Tracker' page from where one can search his/her Bajaj Allianz Health Insurance policy status by providing the required information under the 'Search Criteria' section.

From Offline Mode:

  • You can call the company at their Toll Free Number 1800-103-5858 for 24x7 and provide the Claim Reference Number to know your general insurance claim status.
  • By visiting the Branch Office: You may use the website to search for the Bajaj Allianz Health Insurance Company's nearest branch office and locate it there. Make sure you bring the documentation with you when you visit their office.
  • Through SMS: You may also keep track of the status of your insurance policy with the SMS service. Using the SMS number supplied by the insurer, you may check the progress of your claim under your Bajaj Allianz Health Insurance. The same method may be used to determine additional insurance information, such as the claim number, policy number, etc.
