• Step 1: New customers must fill in the registration form available online at the LIC website, i.e. www.licindia.in.
• Step 2: New customers must fill in the registration form available online in the LIC website, i.e. www[dot]licindia[dot]in.
• Step 3: Details like 'policy number, email ID, date of birth, and premium amount,' etc. will be required to proceed for the registration process.
• Step 4: Once it is completed successfully, you will receive a verification email in the registered mail ID.
• Step 5: Post verification by clicking on the 'verification link' provided in the email, you can now check any related information to your policy from your account.

For Registered Users:

• Step 1: Go to the official LIC website, fill in your credentials like username and password.
• Step 2: Login to your account and select the option 'View Enrolled Policies'.
• Step 3: You will be directed to a page where you can see all the listed enrolled policies.
• Step 4: Choose the policy of your choice, the one for which you wish to check the details.
• Step 5: And here you go! The status and all the necessary information regarding the policy will be displayed in front of you.

LIC has provided Interactive Voice Response system 24×7 available in almost all cities in the country. A LIC policyholder can dial the UAN- Universal Access Number '1251' and contact the customer care of the corporation. You can ask for queries and also check the policy status directly overcall.

How to Check the LIC Policy Surrender Value?

It is the value or the amount paid to the policyholder on discontinuation of policy and collects it from LIC. The Surrender Value is only payable after full payment of premiums for at least 3 years. As per the rules and regulations, the bonus also gets attached to it if the policy is participating one.

To check the surrender value of the policy, one can calculate easily by applying the below-mentioned formula.

Basic Sum Assured (Total Number of Payable Premiums/Number of Paid Premiums)+Total Bonus Received × Surrender Value Factor.
