The New India Sixty Plus Mediclaim Policy offers several benefits for individuals aged 60 years and above. These include:

  • Attendant Benefit
    The policy comes with an attendant benefit for up to INR 800 per day or actual expenses, whichever is lower. The maximum limit for this benefit is INR 5,000 for a INR 2 Lakh policy, INR 7,000 for a INR 3 Lakh policy, and INR 10,000 for a INR 5 Lakh policy.
  • Discount for Single Women
    Single women senior citizens receive a 5% discount on their premiums.
  • Tax Benefits for Children
    Children can purchase this policy for their parents and avail higher tax benefits under Section 80D for senior citizens.
  • Coverage for Spouse
    At least one person among the couple covered under the policy must be a senior citizen. For example, if the husband is 61 years old and the wife is 55 years old, both can be covered.
