New India Cancer Guard Policy Benefits

New India Cancer Guard Policy is a one-of-a-kind policy that offers coverage for cancer through various sum insured options. Some of the policy benefits are listed below:

• Cancer Care Benefit

  The New India Cancer Guard Policy is designed to provide a financial cushion for cancer treatments. It will pay 50% of the Sum Insured as a Critical Care Benefit in addition to the claim amount if the insured is diagnosed with cancer for the first time.

• Second Opinion

  Under the New India Cancer Guard Policy, policyholders can avail a second medical opinion for surgery up to ₹5,000. The second medical opinion can be taken from any medical practitioner of the insured's choice, and the policy will reimburse the consultation fee.

• Cumulative Bonus

  Individuals can avail a no-claim bonus under the New India Cancer Guard Policy, wherein the sum insured shall be increased by 10% at each renewal, provided the insured has claim-free years, to a maximum of 50% of the Sum Insured.

• Tax Benefits

  Premiums paid towards this plan are eligible for tax benefits under Section 80D of the Income Tax Act, 1961.

Exclusions

Permanent diseases or health conditions that are not included under the New India Cancer Guard Policy are:

• Hospitalization due to war, riot, strike, and nuclear weapons
• Intentional self-injury
• AIDS
• Miscarriage and abortion
• Congenital disease
• Infertility and in vitro fertilization
