The New India Asha Kiran Policy by New India Health Insurance is a unique policy designed for parents with only a girl child. This policy covers a maximum of two dependent daughters. If a boy child is born or a daughter becomes independent after purchasing the policy, the company shall offer an option to migrate to a suitable Health Insurance Policy. Under the New India Asha Kiran Policy, the Sum Insured bands available are ₹2 Lakh, ₹3 Lakh, ₹5 Lakh, and ₹8 Lakh.

Exclusions
Permanent Exclusions
Permanent diseases or health conditions that are not included under the New India Asha Kiran Mediclaim Plan are:
- Hospitalization due to war, riot, strike, and nuclear weapons
- Intentional self-injury
- AIDS
- Miscarriage and abortion
- Congenital diseases
- Infertility and in-vitro fertilization
Waiting Periods
Certain diseases and treatments are covered under this plan after a specific waiting period:
- Listed ailments after 24 months
- Pre-existing diseases after 36 months
