Getting add-ons are recommended as they increase the scope of your policy. Here are some of the add-ons you can consider taking for your Omni:
Renewing your Omni car insurance is something that you must not forget to do. Renewing your policy is easy thanks to the user-friendly features available on PolicyX.com. Here’s how you can do it:
1. When I buy an Omni insurance, can I get a discount based on the NCB I have for my previous car?
Yes, you can. The no-claim bonus or NCB is given for the driver and not for the vehicle. You can transfer the NCB of your old to your Omni and you can get a discount on the premium.
My Omni car met with an accident at 12:05 am, my insurance had lapsed at 12:00 am and I was planning to renew it the next day morning. What is the status of my claim?
Sorry but your claim will be denied. Insurance for your car needs to be renewed before the completion of the due date. At the time of the accident, your car was uninsured and hence you will have to bear the entire liability.
3. I use my Omni car to shift goods from my shop to the godown. My car met with an accident but my insurance claim was rejected, why?
Your Omni car insurance policy is for a passenger vehicle. You cannot use it for commercial purposes. If you do so, then your claim in the event of an accident will not be accepted.
4. I would like to take third party insurance for my Omni to reduce the premium costs. Is this sufficient or should I take a comprehensive policy?
Third-party insurance covers legal requirements and compensates injury/damages to a third party. In case you meet with an accident and your vehicle is damaged or if you suffer injuries, you cannot get compensation if you have third party insurance. It is advisable to get a comprehensive car insurance policy for your Omni to get total coverage.
