A subcompact crossover SUV, the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is manufactured by Maruti Suzuki in India. Launched in the 13th Auto Expo (2016), it is Maruti Suzuki’s very first subcompact crossover segment and fourth SUV after Grand Vitara, Gypsy and SX4 S-Cross. It is also Maruti Suzuki’s first car which is fully designed in India alone. Furthermore, it is known to be based on the Maruti XA Alpha concept car. Some of its major competitors are Ford EcoSport, Mahindra XUV300m and Hyundai Venue.
The Vitara Brezza facelift comes with a petrol engine that qualifies all the BS6 emission norms. Powered by 1.5-litre K-series petrol engine, the Vitara Brezza churns out 102bhp of power. The diesel engine has however been discontinued.
