As the name suggests, Care Freedom is a plan that allows you to be worry-free in every situation. This health insurance is for people suffering from diabetes, hypertension, and high BMI. Now, you can get health insurance coverage without worrying about your current health status. With this plan, you only need to serve a 2-year waiting period. Two variants fall under the Care Freedom plan:

• Care Freedom Plan 1: Minimum entry age is 90 days.
• Care Freedom Plan 2: Minimum entry age for the individual is 46 years.

If you are diagnosed with any critical illness, then this plan is for you. You just need to serve a two-year waiting period and then apply for the claim. Read more to understand the plan.

What Makes This Plan Stand Out?

Covers Pre-existing Diseases

A special plan by Care Health for your healthcare requirements. As mentioned earlier, this plan covers critical illnesses such as diabetes, cancer, and heart ailments.

Covers Health Check-ups

Under the Health Check-up feature, you will get an option to upgrade your annual health check-up to either a diabetes health check-up or a cardiac health check-up.

Direct Claim Settlement

Care Health provides a Care Health Card that you can use at any of the network hospitals to avail of cashless benefits.

Covers Dialysis

The plan also covers dialysis charges by paying an amount per sitting for up to 24 months.

Free Look Period

Sometimes, you may not want to continue with a particular health insurance plan, or you might find a better plan. In this case, the policy provides a free look period of 15 days, within which you can cancel the policy.

Consumable Allowance

A visit to a hospital does not only include medical bills; there are many other non-medical expenses. The Care Freedom plan pays a consumable allowance for up to 7 days per hospitalization.

Exclusions

Permanent Exclusions

Permanent diseases or health conditions that are not included under this plan are:

• Injuries resulting from a suicide attempt
• Injuries resulting from adventurous sports
• Hospitalization due to alcohol and drug abuse
• Maternity
• Cost of routine eye and ear examination, dentures, and artificial teeth
• Tests and treatments related to infertility and sterility
• External Congenital Disease

Coverage After Waiting Period

Some treatments are covered after a defined waiting period under this plan. To know more, read below:

• Specific Ailments (after 2 years)
• COVID-19 Treatment (after 15 days)
