The major aspect of cancelling a health insurance policy is, that you pay some cost in the form of deductions applicable according to your policy’s documents. Here’s a guide that will help you with your Aditya Birla Health Insurance cancellation.
Aditya Birla Health Insurance Company allows you to edit or make a change in your policy within a time frame of 15 days (in offline policy mode) and 30 days (in online policy mode). This is called the free-look period. According to the rules of IRDAI, this is mandatory for every health insurance company to offer their policyholders a free-look period of 15-30 days.
Suppose the policyholder cancels their policy within the free-look period. In that case, they’re entitled to receive a full refund, excluding any health check-up expenses that the insurer has paid before policy issuance, the stamp duty, etc. However, the deductions and refundable premiums are subject to vary according to the active policy tenure and number of claims made during the same.
If you cancel your Aditya Birla Health Insurance policy after the free-look period, you will not be able to receive a full refund of your total paid premiums. Here’s what you’ll get on cancelling your health policy after its free-look period:
