The policy includes treatment for infection by Novel Coronavirus (nCOV) (COVID-19) and subsequent hospitalization. The policy covers the insured person and one dependent child for a period of one year.
The following are exclusions of the policy and payments will not be made for any of the following:
Claims against the policy can be made by the insured person or anyone else on his/her behalf by following the claims procedure.
1. If I make a claim under the policy and get reimbursed and once more contract the disease, can I make a second claim?
No, the policy ceases to operate either once a claim is settled or on completion of one year.
2. The policy coverage is not available for someone 17 years old, what to do in this case?
This is not a problem since a child can be covered under this policy as a dependent along with the parent. Children, up to 25 years of age can be covered under the policy.
3. How can I renew the policy on completion of the policy period?
At present, the policy duration is 1 year and since it is a pilot product, renewal is allowed until the product is offered.
4. Is it possible to cancel the policy?
Yes, cancellation is possible anytime. If the policy is cancelled before 3 months, 15% premium can be refunded. If the policy is cancelled after 3 months, no refund may be given.
