The policy provides a lump sum payment as a benefit to the policyholder who has contracted COVID-19 and has had to undergo hospitalization.
Star Health Insurance has a waiting period of 16 days from the commencement date of the policy.
There is no medical screening or testing requirement for applicants.
A free look period is available from the company, whereby you can buy this policy, and if unsatisfied, can return it within 15 days. The refund is applicable only if no claim has been made. Refunds are applicable only for the purchase of the policy and not for renewal.
Tax benefit under Section 80 D of the Income Tax Act is available for the premium paid for obtaining this policy.
