Star Super Surplus Plan: FAQs

1. What is the deductible in the star super surplus Insurance policy?

Deductible in the super surplus insurance policy is the medical expense amount that you need to pay on your own and the rest will be paid by the insurance company. The insurance company will only pay the claim if it exceeds the deductible amount. Any claim that is less than or equal to the deductible amount will be rejected.

2. How does deductible work in Star Super Surplus?

It is a simple calculation of subtracting deductible amounts from your claim amount. For example, you choose a deductible of 1 lakh and your claim amount is 3 lakhs for a top-up sum insured of 6 lakhs. In this case, you will receive (3,00,000 - 1,00,000=2 lakhs) as a claimable amount under Star super surplus plan from the insurer.

3. Does the star health super surplus policy offer additional recharge benefits?

5. What is Co-payment and how will it affect my claim payment under Star super surplus?

Co-payment is a fixed amount or a percentage of treatment costs that policyholders have to bear and the rest is borne by the insurer.
