How does Star Super Surplus Plan work?

For instance: Mayank has savings of up to 10 lakhs or an existing mediclaim cover of 10 Lakhs, but he feels this is not enough to meet his family's healthcare needs. To deal with skyrocketing medical costs, he purchased a Star Super Surplus top-up plan with a sum insured amount of 20 lakhs and a deductible of 10 Lakhs (his existing cover). Now onwards, this top-up plan will cover his healthcare expenses exceeding 10 Lakhs, offering up to 20 Lakhs of coverage above the deductible amount.
