Star Health Accident Policy is an individual and family floater policy where dependent children can be covered from the age of 5 months and adults between the age of 18 to 70 years. Star Health Accident Policy covers risks like Accidental Death, Permanent Total Disablement, Permanent Partial Disablement, Temporary Total Disablement, and more. Added benefits under Star Health Personal Accident Policy at no additional premium are Educational grants to children, Ambulance Charges, Hospital cash, and more.

1. What is the eligibility criteria to purchase Star Health Accident Care Policy?

Individuals between the age of 18 years and 70 years can purchase Star Health Personal Accident Policy, individuals can also cover dependent children between the age of 5 months and 25 years under the policy . The policy offers a Life-long renewal.

2. What are the sum insured options available under Star Health Personal Accident Policy?

When purchasing Star Health Accident Policy individuals can choose a sum insured option starting from Rs. 1,00,000 which can be increased in the multiples of 10k. However, the maximum sum insured limit is decided on the basis of an individual’s earning capacity.

3. What are the policy benefits under Star Health Personal Accident Policy?

There are 3 different cover options available under the policy, namely

  • Table A- Covers Accidental Death (policy provides 100% of the sum insured along with cumulative bonus)
  • Table B- Covers Accidental Death And Permanent Disablement (policy provides 150% of the sum insured along with cumulative bonus)
  • Table C-Covers Accidental Death, Permanent Disablement, and Temporary Total Disablement ((policy provides 1% of the sum insured to a maximum of Rs.15,000)

4. What are the travel charges covered under Star Health Accident Policy?

Star Health Accident Policy provides 1% of SI up to a maximum of Rs.50,000 for the travel of one relative to the insured individual’s residence in case of accidental death of insured person.
