The Star Health Accident Policy is available as an individual and family floater policy. Dependent children can be covered from 5 months of age, and adults between 18 to 70 years. This policy covers risks such as Accidental Death, Permanent Total Disablement, Permanent Partial Disablement, and Temporary Total Disablement. Added benefits under the Star Health Personal Accident Policy, at no additional premium, include educational grants for children, ambulance charges, hospital cash, and more.

The Star Health Accident Policy offers three different cover options:

  • Table A: Covers Accidental Death
  • Table B: Covers Accidental Death and Permanent Disablement
  • Table C: Covers Accidental Death, Permanent Disablement, and Temporary Total Disablement (Weekly Compensation)

Individuals between the age of 18 years and 70 years can purchase Star Health Personal Accident Policy, individuals can also cover dependent children between the age of 5 months and 25 years under the policy . The policy offers a Life-long renewal.
When purchasing Star Health Accident Policy individuals can choose a sum insured option starting from Rs. 1,00,000 which can be increased in the multiples of 10k. However, the maximum sum insured limit is decided on the basis of an individual’s earning capacity.
There are 3 different cover options available under the policy, namely Table A- Covers Accidental Death (policy provides 100% of the sum insured along with cumulative bonus) Table B- Covers Accidental Death And Permanent Disablement (policy provides 150% of the sum insured along with cumulative bonus) Table C-Covers Accidental Death, Permanent Disablement, and Temporary Total Disablement ((policy provides 1% of the sum insured to a maximum of Rs.15,000)
Star Health Accident Policy provides 1% of SI up to a maximum of Rs.50,000 for the travel of one relative to the insured individual’s residence in case of accidental death of insured person.
Star Health Accident Policy provides additional benefits like purchase of blood, transportation of imported medicines, cumulative bonus, ambulance charges and educational grant amongst other benefits.
